It was the evening of 3 Dec 2015, much like any other weekday evening, I was on the way back home after a meeting at Chestnut Avenue. In fact, I was supposed to fly to Beijing the next morning for a boutique hotel design project. Never did I expect a tragedy to be looming, that is going to upset my plans and turn my life upside down.

The accident threw a spanner in the works, upsetting my life and business. Many would have construed this as an unfortunate and negative event, but I believe this is probably the best “worst” thing that has happened to me.

It disrupted my life as much as it revitalized it. It took me away from the comfort of home but presented me with a sanctuary where I had time to review my life.
